The villanova project was planned as airy town villas each with their own colour concept. What has been created is a residential complex that emanates a visible and perceptible quality of design in the quiet town centre of Schwechat. The villas are called villanova rossa (house no. 1), villanova verde (house no. 2), villanova ocra (house no. 3) und villanova arancia (house no. 4). Sun protection elements in colours that match the buildings ensure a feeling of well-being and in combination with the generous loggias and balconies convey the charm of the southern zest for life.
THAT IMPART DYNAMISM
The arrangement of the floors, the inclinations and reflections bring dynamism to the four buildings which will be erected on plateaus of differing heights. Together with the high-quality outdoor area (concept of the landscape architects EGKK in close cooperation with the architects from room8) they form an inner-city ensemble that realises the aim of “living amidst greenery”. This is further accentuated by the “Piazetta Verdi”, the area between the four town villas that is designed as a meeting place under the foliage of vines. And not far away toddlers will find a wonderful green area to play in.
FOR BUGGIES AND BICYCLES
There is ample space for buggies and bicycles in the communal storerooms. Each apartment also has its own private storage room. The architects paid special attention to the conveniently designed driveway and generously dimensioned parking spaces in the underground garage. Despite all this, villanova is still also easy to reach by public transport: it takes just 20 minutes to get from the nearby Schwechat station to the city centre of Vienna (Wien Mitte) or to the gateway of the wide world (Wien-Schwechat airport).
